Eric Tu brings a wealth of experience across music, film, sports, fashion, journalism & tech industries. He has won every major award in the advertising business including the record setting 8 Cannes Lions for AdCouncil’s PSA ‘Love Has No Labels’. Prior to launching EST, Eric was leading brand partnerships at Anonymous Content’s creative incubator The Lab and before then the US Director of Partnerships at VICE MEDIA’s creative agency VIRTUE Worldwide. VIRTUE is a global agency network with 28 offices around the world with producing credits such as Beyonce’s Lemonade and Intel’s The Creators Project.

SOPHIE SHI
Sophie Changhui Shi obtained her BA in English from Hong Kong Polytechnic University before venturing into the field of Certified Public Accounting at Deloitte. However, her true passion for storytelling propelled her to Los Angeles, where she achieved the distinction of being the fifth Chinese student admitted into UCLA's esteemed MFA Producers Program. Standing out as the first Chinese woman accepted in the 2010s, Sophie completed her studies in 2021 and subsequently joined HBO and Janet Yang's production company. Her contributions encompass notable projects like GOOD GIRLS S2 (NBC), STAIRCASE (HBOMax), WE OWN THE CITY (HBO), and an eagerly anticipated Bruce Lee biopic directed by Ang Lee.

JAN PAUL VILLANUEVA
JP Villanueva brings extensive experience in global distribution and content strategy across North America and beyond. A finance graduate of California State University, Long Beach, he utilizes sophisticated analytics to negotiate and execute complex, multi-territory deals connecting iconic IP and creative catalogs with global audiences.
His background includes leading distribution for Vertical Entertainment and VIZ Media where he managed content strategy, sales, licensing, international expansion, and partnerships with 40+ platforms and has driven over $100M in revenue to date. JP honed his strategic expertise at world-class organizations including The Walt Disney Company, Sony Pictures, and Warner Bros.

CATHY NI
Prior to joining EST N8, Cathy Ni earned a double major in Film, Television & Media and Pure Math from the University of Michigan, followed by an MFA from the American Film Institute. With a profound passion for East Asian and international cinema, Cathy brings comprehensive experience, honing her sales skills through collaborations with distinguished professionals and companies, including writer-director Han Han, whose films grossed over 6 billion RMB at the box office, Dadi Cinema, and Blue Box Financing. She has also closely worked with prominent Chinese writers like Shang Xuetao and Zheng Zi, as well as major Chinese studios, where she successfully negotiated film adaptation rights deals surpassing 1 million RMB and contributed to notable films such as Only Fools Rush In, Tiger Mom, 40 Acres, and Kill or Be Killed. Leveraging her extensive resources and industry connections, Cathy excels at bridging and introducing exceptional Asian cinema to global audiences, consistently pursuing the "Greatest Stories Never Told" alongside EST N8

SALES & MARKETING EXECUTIVE
SHAMS PASHA
Shams Pasha brings experiences from media and entertainment, consumer, and technology-driven industries, spanning Asia, Africa, and North America. A Fulbright Scholar, he is the first native Pakistani producer trained at the American Film Institute, and a PGA Debra Hill Fellowship finalist, Telluride FilmLab fellow, and One Young World Ambassador.
His background includes leading international brands and producing film projects premiered at major festivals including TIFF and Berlinale. He has trained with Academy Award–winning executives and studios including MACRO Studios (Mudbound, Fences), Heyday Films (Harry Potter, Barbie, Gravity), and supported film investment evaluations at Blue Fox Financing.
